Eastside Poetry

Did you know that our friends from Old English Brand sponsored an event with our other friend, Emmy Nominated Actor Richard Cabral, along with his company Lineage Entertainment, to give a place for  talented individuals in our community a place to show off their skill. It gave an opportunity to showcase your talent, whatever it is. From poetry, music, acting, dance, story-telling or whatever it may be. It starts off with Old English Brand CEO Jaime C Diaz Jr as he describes the event, then to Richard as he tells what the goal is, and then to audience feedback. Make sure to watch the video and stay posted to Urban Kings and Old English Brand because we may have another event coming soon.

Fighting Shadows With Richard Cabral

Its finally here, the play that we had told you about has started. It is called “Fighting Shadows The Play” and stars Richard Cabral, formerly known as Baby Jokes. He stopped by The Old English Brand Flagship Shop to tell us more about his special event. Through his music, he has told various stories about the inner city, then fast forward a few years, and now he tells a story, his story, about growing up in East Los Angeles, where the story is not from a hollywood writer or a book writer. It comes directly from Richard, who has not only experienced  his story, but lived to tell it. Coming off his recent Emmy Award Nomination, he comes back to his community to give his artistic treasure in the form of storytelling. Plus, he has just announced he is running a very unique 2-for-1 special on all tickets the days of April 29th, 30th and May 1st. Buy one get one free is always a great deal.
