Eazy E and Old Dirty Bastard Holograms Perform

Urban Kings has the exclusive new videos of the Rock The Bells this past weekend. Everyone performed at Rock The Bells on Saturday and Sunday, but their were only two artists that performed that are not alive. One of the holograms was a westcoast legend, who is the godfather of gangster rap. He was responsible for the rap careers of Dr Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and N.W.A. Not to mention signing artists like Kid Frost and Brownside. The hip hop thugsta, Eazy E. The other was an eastcoast legend, who was a piece of the eastcoast supergroup Wu Tang, Old Dirty Bastard aka Dirt McGurt aka Big Baby Jesus. We have the video of each artists hologram below, so you can check it out and watch it now!

RIP Eazy E – The Hip Hop Thugsta

UKMG would like to dedicate this blog for Eazy E, celebrating his life and his legacy for what he has done for music, especially hip hop. Eazy was one of the first artists that became not only an entertainer, but a CEO as well. From organizing the supergroup NWA, to working as a solo artist, then creating his own record label, called Ruthless Records. Eazy always had an eye for finding talent, including JJ Fad, The DOC, Bone Thugs and Harmony. But what Eazy E also has done, that has not really been made common knowledge that Eazy E also believed in young Mexican artists. He also signed Brownside and Kid Frost, and was also negotiating with other Mexican artists on deals. Not too many major mainstream artists have co signed Mexican artists, and that is why is so respected among the latino communities. Rest In Peace Eazy E!

Jasper Loco & Kid Frost

We got a picture in from UKMG Artist Jasper Loco at the Eazy E Tribute event this past weekend in Downey, California. Mexicans always show love to Eazy E not as the godfather of gangster rap, but because he gave Mexicans a chance in hip hop. Many people dont know, but Eazy E signed Brownside, Kid Frost, and was signing Hollow Point (Knightowl and Lil One). Kid Frost released “Smile Now Die Later” through Ruthless Records, and had the classics “Eastside Rendezvous”, “La Familia”, “You Aint Right” just to name a few. Jasper went to the show to show love and represent Charlie Row Campo and took this dope picture right in front of Frost, while he was performing.

Ms Krazie In the LA TIMES

Here is the exact article that The Los Angeles Times wrote about Pops aka Wan Joon Kim, who runs the Cycadelic Record Shop in the World Famous Compton Indoor Swapmeet. He talks about how he started his business and working in Compton when hip hop was at its highest point, selling cassette tapes of upcoming artists (at the time) like Dj Quik, Mausberg, Eazy E and more. Then he talks about the shift in Compton from black artists to mexican artists, and even mentions Urban Kings Music Group artist Ms Krazie and Lil G! Right now hip hop is back on the rise with really dope talent. READ THE ARTICLE ABOVE!!!
